There're two options for you:

1. if select the "Sound Control" option, it'll be powered by batteries(BATTERY NOT INCLUDED in the package), but the lights COULDN'T STAY ALWAYS ON/OFF, as there's sound&light sensor inside, when at dark and there's sound,the ice blue LED lights will be lighted up for around 50 seconds.

2. if select the "Light Switch Control" option, it'll be powered by USB with dimmer, and there's no sound&light sensor inside, so the lights COULD STAY ALWAYS ON/OFF.
